Drones do bring some spice to combat as it is harder to kill a machine than a human, (insert terminator reference) and it made so you could fly the nano drone into bases to spy on them, you could also have auto turrets to defend you base, and for admins the Nuke drone, along with the mother ship for special events

nano drones are garbage youd be lucky to get them into a base before running out of fuel

auto turrets? yeah those get destroyed pretty quickly

ok, but why get drones for the nukes, when we might add nuke pack 4?

I personally do not agree with re-adding drones
The drones are weak after all, one shot with a .50 BMG rifle can instantly destroy a drone
Also, there are restrictions when we had it, decreasing usage for the users
Nuke drone? We might add nuke pack 4, and it’s just a nuke, but Drones Rewrite included a bunch of drones, so if you’re adding just the nuke drone, it’s useless.




Also, auto turrets or combine turrets are just minge machines, it can just instantly kill someone when there’s a pack of over two combine turrets
The AI upgrade just gives it an automatic aimbot, killing anyone in sight in the direction on the turret
we also have gunships and fighter jets on sbox, so what makes a difference when drones are re-added?

+1 Drones were really fun, and while some of the drones on the mod are pretty overpowered, tehy can easily just be restricted. The ones that regular users were able to use that were armed were also fairly balanced too since they could be shot down with good marksmanship.

user drones are just useless, it’s only made for close quarter combat, and a player can destroy a drone during close quarters

It gives incentive for people to donate and I guess it does add something else for people to do as well. Also gives people a reason to try and make some kind of base so they don't get centrifucked by a prop beyblade set loose while at a drone console
