E2 Thread (Help, Suggestions, Sharing)

After having some issues on my own with E2, figured it was probably worth it to make a thread for that sort of stuff open to everybody, incase they need help (thanks to @ajphandalf for the suggestion). In this thread, drop any questions or pre-existing E2s you have. If you see somebody with a problem, try and help out. I'll start out by helping with super basic effect stuff I guess.

Effects:

For very basic effect spawns, use these lines: 
@persist Variable:effect
runOnTick(1)
if(first()|dupeFinished()) {
Variable = effect()
Variable:play("EffectName")
}

In order to make it your own, you can add whatever effect you can, as long as it's available in GMod. The complete list is here. 

To customize your effect a little bit, try adding these 3 lines (warning: there is a space after the : in each of these to avoid emotes. Remove it in your E2):

• effect: setScale(number)
  
• effect: setMagnitude(number)
  
• effect: setOrigin(vector)
  

effect: setScale determines the SPEED of the effect, not the size. If you want the effect to go super fast, use something like 500. If not, keep it lower.

effect: setMagnitude changes the size, or scale, of the effect. Don't ask me why this one isn't setScale.

effect: setOrigin is the position in which the effect spawns. Without this, it spawns where you shoot the E2.

Please be SPECIFIC with your issues. Nobody can help you if you're super vague about everything. Also, this isn't a request thread, so please don't ask if any of us can make you an E2.
