Norton antivirus detected a virus on my computer, which it immediately deleted, and that virus just so happened to be "hl2.exe", which is what runs Gmod. So now Gmod is broken.

Thanks Norton.

I haven't been active in game much anyway, but because of Norton I can't even launch Gmod now.
I don't need tech support on this thread, literally all I have to do is delete half life and gmod, then reinstall both of them as well as my workshop items.

LOA will be over when I get time to do this.

Thanks for the tech support I had no idea that reinstalling gmod would fix it, thanks.

Just give it a shot. If it doesn't work just poke around for a possible download. Worst comes to worst uninstall steam and reinstall it.

You're amazing at this how did you know how to solve the issue? Like I didn't even think of this.

Isn't this something that takes, like a day? So why do you need an LOA unless you're just avoiding it for now?

1) Uninstall Norton. Unless you go to bdsm transgender midget porn websites and have an ounce of sense, you don't need it.
2) Verify game files, you don't even need to reinstall
3) This whole process should take less than 30 minutes, which is not LOA worthy
4) Yes I read that you don't need tech support but obviously it looks like you do

-10 Mb/s Download speed
-Roughly 19 Gigabytes of content to download.
-Estimated download time 27 hours.
could be a minimum of 12 if my internet goes back to normal, and i only download LFG content.

Theres a reason im procrastinating it.

Verifying game files was the first thing i did, but Norton deleted the engine that runs gmod, so that didnt do jack.

I have to do way more than 30 minutes of fixing, and with my amazing internet things are worse than they should be.
