Hi all,

My suggestion is to increase the ban time that Admins can give to people. In particular perma bans, if not, up to a month or more bans. Most of the players that pick up 7 day bans (maximum penalty) are because they have, or attempted, to crash the server. The rest of the 7 day bans (maximum penalty) are for violating very strict rules regarding PAC and E2 abuses that heavily affect the playing experience on the server in-line with going as far as purposefully crashing the server. Especially on Sandbox.

That being said, I don't disagree with any of the rules, or current ban system in place as I feel they are already very fair which is why I elected to be part of this community to begin with. I just feel that 7 days is just a slap on the wrist while most other servers perma ban people for such offences.

Could a perma/lengthy bans be abused? Certainly, but abusive individuals shouldn't be admins and we have a much better set of staff (that are more professional) over many other servers that have low level moderators that perma ban without warnings or kicks for the smallest thing. However, even those that were banned wrongfully, or otherwise, have the opportunity to appeal a ban right here in the forums. If getting to the forums is another argument against a lengthy ban for egregious offences admins could easily be required to add "Please visit www.lennyfacegaming.org if you wish to appeal this ban" to the reason. Also, for the most part LFG is indexed and optimized correctly to come up first on a simple Google search. Which is also easy to find considering the title of the servers start with "Lenny Face Gaming."

Perhaps this can be very easily accomplished by just adding an additional admin rank to promote well seasoned, strict rule following, friendly and helpful admins to. It could be called "Senior Admin" or as simple as "Admin+" to limit controls of inexperienced admins.

My primary focus has been eradicating cancer from the community and dispensing of admins that are mediocre, or otherwise abusive. That's why I added this suggestion. Approving lengthy ban abilities particularly to be used for extremely abusive players ultimately results in a much better gaming experience for all the other players that are reasonably following the rules.

If the reason for shorter bans (besides abuse) is to get players back onto the server as soon as possible (and viewing ads to bring in funds to run/improve the server), it should be considered that the server would actually do better if cancerous players are removed at length (if not permanently), so the good players that are actually prospective donors can have a much better overall playing experience. Furthermore, according to Immanuel Kant's (a German philosopher) Categorical Imperative: it would be completely unethical to take money from cancerous players and creating a scenario where the ends justify the means.

From past admin expierences of when I was an admin on sandbox, there is never a need to perma ban someone, the only time it would be used is for abusive purposes, so thats a bad idea

So, there is absolutely no reason to perma ban people's whose sole purpose is to just to crash servers? What about people that abuse E2 in the extreme cases?

not all of us can be certain that they do it intentionally, I mean, if they prop spam then sure its obvious, but lets say someone who is on the server just got a rank high enough to use adv dupe, they don't know about instant crash dupes and end up spawning one. Of course most of us will think it was on purpose since we know about it, but for that person, their best defense is "I didn't know about it", which most people wont believe or give a damn about. That includes e2 crashing since people who are new to it may accidently crash since they try to create something they didn't know could cause that (it actually happened less than a year ago on sandbox and the guy openly admitted he did it but didn't know something like that could even happen with the type of tool he was using).

For people who abuse e2, like with blinder and such, I have mixed opinions on it, yeah they are being complete asses and should be punished, but some people can just screw up from not controlling themselves and perma-banning them doesn't give them a second chance. Now if they do it twice, then they clearly only want to annoy everyone and should be perma banned from there.

Yes I agree on the other's opinions on that people can screw up like @UHC said in a summed up form, "If we know that dupe or E2 can crash the server, Doesn't mean they know it can crash the server too". and I'm sure you would try to look into what happens before banning someone (Even though I don't think I ever seen you do that). So in the future if things gets worse I say raise it, but for now I think we don't even need to raise punishment and this is from my perspective of a Sandbox Admin. Plus we rarely ever need to be that strict with people like we want to have a nice reputation with the public as well and not scare the new people away, we want to greet them.

(Plus not to be rude in anyway possible I think you are the one that uses the Week Ban the most out of all the admins.)

I'm not going to extend the ban time allowed to Admins. If they've been banned several times for crashing the server, prop pushing, etc. send me a message on TeamSpeak, I'll verify that they have previous bans, and I will extend it.
