I want to build a remote control turbine jet for recon for some airsoft milsim games, and I have no idea what the hell I'm doing. The idea itself has been approved by the owner of the field, so now I just need to figure out the design and the hardware. It doesn't need to be realistic at all, it's just more of a who can make the most OP aircraft. Also, there is a slight chance retards might try to shoot at it, whether with BBs, mortars, or that stupid howitzer cannon the other team has (shoots nerf footballs). If the howitzer fires at it it's probably gonna die instantly, but I'm pretty sure that if we can make it sturdy and out of the right material, it will survive those little grenades that the mortar fires, and the BBs too. I'm considering building it similar to the SR-71, but I'm not quite sure yet.

I need this plane to be able to travel accross a 40 square acre space in a very short span of time, and I need to be able to fly this thing at high speeds to avoid it being shot by every single player.

I actually just found this https://www.trendtimes.com/surcfijetaiw.html and it could be ok-ish.

I explained it in the post, but recon. I'm using this at an airsoft milsim field, and putting 2 cameras on it (One facing forward for flight, another facing downward for recon) so that my team can coordinate better based on our knowledge of where the other team is.

Lol so you're gonna set up a reliable, long range, wireless camera solution on an RC plane? gtfo.

You are going to build a jet engine? GFL with that one. If your parents even funded this endeavor you really are the most spoiled kid ever.

I'm not building the engine, I'm buying the engine, I'm building everything else from components picked up at hobby shops and other places. This project is being funded by the whole team.

We're thinking about making a triangular shaped single engine aircraft (basically a flying dorito with a fucking jet engine on the back), and we might be using this piece of aids right here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Sw6-12kg...09445.html
