Anime, Nani?

So I'm in need of an anime that isn't fucking retarded and might interest a newcomer to anime. Please no "Boku no Pico" or "hentai" related anime. Also, it will need to be a movie as my friend is only willing to watch one anime and it cant be a series... even though a lot of the anime shows are good. This particular friend doesn't like anime and hasn't even seen Pokemon for fuck sakes.... sooo if you have any good suggests, post it here! Thanks <3

I was going to suggest The Town Where Only I am Missing (English title was shortened to 'Erased' for some reason) but it's a show, although it's not very long and I would still recommend at least trying to get them to watch it. As for a film you could try Spirited Away, Grave Of the Fireflies, My Neighbor Totoro, or anything else by Studio Ghibli, as those tend to rub off well on people new to anime. I personally liked Grave Of the Fireflies, although it might be a bit depressing. Good luck.
